How did all this start anyway?

I was having lunch in the studio in December of 2017 and read an article in the newspaper about the 15 rare, coastal dune lakes in Walton County. I knew about Western Lake. Everyone knows Western Lake. It’s beautiful and full of inspiration for artists and, well, everyone. But what about the 14 other coastal dune lakes?
That's when I had the idea to visit the lakes and paint something inspired by the visit. You know, that was 3 and a half years ago! It’s odd to think that this week I’ll be concluding the project and releasing the products of those dune lake visits out to the world. But it's truly fulfilling knowing others will love them too.
