Congratulations you are the...
Aspiring Artist
Symbol: Seed
"Many seeds are able to endure long periods
of drought, heat, or freezing temperatures-yet are ready to spring to life when favorable conditions arise."
As an Aspiring Artist, you may have loved art in school. Maybe you haven't created in years. Is it still in the back of your mind?
You work in another field or maybe you have little ones at home.
You see others making art. You want to. You know it will give you great joy, but you are fearful.
You are busy with a job and family. You may think it’s not even worth starting now. If that is you, please start.
Remind yourself, that you are getting ready for when the time comes that you are ready to focus on your art.
Don't feel guilty about not being able to focus on art right now. Focus on the present, whatever is important right now. The time will come when your focus can change.
Even a little here and there will help you when you get to the point that you do have more time. One day you will be ready. Do you have the desire to sprout?
Here's How You Can Take Your Art To The Next Level
> Find time for art here and there.
> Sign up for a convenient art class or workshop and dedicate a small amount of time to it.
> Follow artists online that inspire you.
> Go to museums and local art shows.
> Have an inspiration board of colors, paintings, decor you love.
> Start an art journal for doodling or small studies.
> Join an in-person or online art community like Chroma Community. Begin to surround yourself with other artists/painters and share ideas and methods.
Hey there!
I'm Kathleen
Let me introduce myself... I'm a fine artist and art teacher. I took a watercolor class in college that started my life-long art journey.
I now paint mostly with oil, inspired by the beautiful landscapes of NW Florida.
Today I also teach others who wish to learn skills to help them confidently paint on their own and experience the joy of painting.
